The Foundation for Excellence in Yorktown Education was founded in 1993 to award grants to educators for developing timely, innovative, and creative projects that enrich the educational process. The Foundation exists solely to benefit the students of the Yorktown Central School District, and is comprised of parents and teachers within the district.
The Foundation is Pleased to Announce a Banner Year
Last year, thanks to the involvement and financial support of community members, and the partnership of the H.W. Wilson Foundation and the Yorktown High School PTSA, the Foundation was able to fund 24 school grants totaling over $50,000, and award two $1,000 scholarships to Yorktown High School graduating seniors Joseph Cirone and Jeffrey Naft. Grants were funded in the areas of science, technology, history, language, reading, special education, character development, physical education, and wellness.
